Equipment

Charlie’s chocolate fountain is hired for between a 2 and 4 hour period unless otherwise agreed. The equipment is to be set up by us in an agreed suitable place that you choose. Under no circumstances can the equipment be moved unless agreed by us. The equipment must remain indoors at all times, unless prior written agreement by us is made. Under no circumstances can anything such as banners or pictures be attached to the equipment unless prior written permission has been given. All descriptions and illustrations on this social media/website are only intended to give a general idea of the product. Dips may vary slightly due to availability. Customers should ensure that young children are supervised at all times to avoid the risk of burn form hot flowing chocolate. Charlie’s chocolate fountain cannot be held responsible for safety issues which occur from the use of our equipment or consumption of our confectionery at your event.

NUT ALLERGIES

We use a few food suppliers and hold a full list of ingredients of each variety, of food/dips that we have available on request. We are fully aware of the serious risk of nut allergies to people. It is with regret that due to cross contamination within the factories that we are unable to guarantee any nut free products. Some dips may contain or have traces of nuts or nut oils & some may also have been in contact with products containing nuts. Charlie’s chocolate fountain cannot be held responsible for any issues relating from any food allergies.

BOOKING PROCESS/CONFIRMATION

We hold selected dates for 3 weeks only, after this time if the deposit has not been paid, we reserve the right to release the date. Any order will only be confirmed once you receive it in writing. Orders will be guaranteed once the relevant payment has been received.

PAYMENT

If the booking is more than 4 weeks away, then we require a £50.00 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking. We require full payment along with the fully refundable damage deposit of £50.00 or £100 if you are hiring the slush machine, no later than 4 weeks to your event. The refundable damage deposit will be refunded back to you or a named person within 48 hours, on collection of our cart, in a non-damaged condition. If we haven’t received full payment 4 weeks before you’re booking, then we reserve the right to withdraw our acceptance of your booking. No delivery will be made without full payment being made. No refunds given on unused or returned stock. We reserve the right to withdraw our acceptance of your order on the basis of not being able to source the goods requested, this will result in an immediate refund of any monies paid to us from yourselves.

DAMAGE – REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

A fully refundable damage deposit of £50.00 or £100 if you are hiring the slush machine is required along

with full payment 4 weeks before the event. The equipment belonging to Charlie’s chocolate fountain is to be returned in the same condition in which you received them. The fully refundable damage deposit will be returned to you or a named person within 48 hours & upon the satisfactory collection of our Equipment. Should any damage or breakage occur then unfortunately this will result in deductions from your deposit to replace any items. All damaged items remain the property of Charlie’s chocolate fountain.

 

DELIVERY

Displays will be delivered and set up by ourselves on a date and time specified by you. Should any unforeseen event occur which results in us being delayed then we will not be liable. In the event of us not being able to set up at the agreed time and date, place, due to an error, or fault on your part. We reserve the right to charge for our waiting time at £10.00 per person, per hour.

CANCELLATION FEES

More than 4 weeks prior to your event – All money refunded less the £50.00 booking deposit. Less than 4 weeks prior to your event – 50% of charge & £50.00 booking deposit. Less than 2 weeks prior to your event – 100% charge is due. Please make us aware of any cancellation as soon as possible on 07496460722 followed up in writing by post or email.

COMPLAINTS

In the unlikely event of any dissatisfaction on your part, please put it in writing within 5 working days of your event. We reserve the right to refuse compensation with any complaint after 5 working days after your event.

LIABILITIES

Under no circumstances shall any of our liabilities to you exceed the invoice value of the contract. Charlie’s chocolate fountain or any of our representatives shall not be liable in respect of damages/injury/loss or any other damage incurred in respect of this hire, as a result of any defect or damage to the item and the customer shall satisfy him/herself of the suitability/condition/placement of the equipment upon receipt. Permission should be sought by you the hirer from the venue as to the suitability of all items hired and to ensure that the fountain will fit into your chosen venue.

LAW

These terms and conditions and any contract formed between us shall be governed by the laws of England and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us.

PRIVACY POLICY

Charlie’s chocolate fountain will treat all personal information you provide in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998, any information you supply will only be used to contact you in connection with services provided and/or to respond to any requests you have made to provide the requested information.

PHOTOGRAPHS/PUBLICITY

We would like to use images taken at some events for our gallery on our social media/website. Please could you let us know if you have any objections to this? No pictures of guests will be taken, unless with full written consent from yourselves.
